Fin Walker
Fin Walker is a director, choreographer and energy 'healer' with training in body psychotherapy, somatic practices and coaching techniques. She has an interest in human behaviour and how past experiences impact the present through the vehicle of the thinking, breathing, and moving body.
Hosting a somatic practice for many years, Fin has explored many facets of movement from Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique, Body Mind Centring, Contact Improvisation, Skinner release, Susan Klein & Barbara Mahler Technique, yoga, breath work, qigong and Vipassana meditation.
Conscious Movement
She began developing her approach to movement using improvisation to connect deeply with 'the self'. This supports the process work she does with clients on a 1:1 basis and in groups. Individuals are able to expand their perception and awareness, coming into the truth of who they are, integrating aspects of self, forgotten, neglected or 'lost', with movement acting as a catalyst for igniting stagnant energy.
Energy Medicine
Fin specialises in hands-on energy medicine, a practice that supports balance of the vital energy flow through the body; used to reduce stress, anxiety, promote wellbeing and help individuals explore their emotional, physical and spiritual bodies.
Her energy work can also work distantly, and is particularly effective for those who are too ill to support their own healing. In all her work, Fin is guided by her spirit and animal guides, the ascended masters and the air, earth, fire and water elements.
Director
Fin has many strands to her work. She is directing her own version of Macbeth, currently in development. She was Artistic Director of Walker Dance Park Music, residence company at The Royal Opera House 2002 - 2008.
Fin has been holding space for individuals for over 20-years. Most recently with her sister, Cath, with whom she co-founded Dream Awake: Alchemy of the Soul, a powerful blend of shamanic and energetic modalities designed to produce meaningful, magical and unique experiences in a sacred group setting.
